The twist-up design solves the single most annoying thing about crayons — the constant sharpening and breaking. My test batch lasted through weeks of daily use without a single snapped tip, and the effects range (neon, glitter, metallic) keeps things interesting.
They cost a little more than a standard box, and because you can't sharpen them, fine detail work isn't their strength. But for everyday colouring — with kids, or honestly just for me — the clean twist mechanism and the lack of breakage make them well worth it.
